Amanda Notarianni and Charlie Macpherson have been working together to make award winning contemporary glass for over 20 years. They have a passion for design excellence and an exceptional commitment to creating works of art that are unique.

Their signed innovative ultra modern pieces are hand made in Poundbury, Dorset. There work is in public and private collections both nationally and internationally.

Julia Mills

Julia Mills is a professional glass artist based in Penzance, Cornwall. She moved to the area in 1999 and having owned galleries in Porthleven, Mousehole and Newlyn, she now shares a studio at The Beehive in Penzance.

Surrounded by the sights and sounds of Mount’s Bay and the creative community of Penzance, Julia takes inspiration in the ephemeral light of the coast. “I love walking along the seashore – this constantly shifting interface between land and sea fuels my imagination and is a recurring theme in my work”.

Using the highest quality handmade glass sourced from around the world and enlivened by natural lines, tiny bubbles and intricate textures, Julia creates contemporary glass art full of colour and movement. She uses techniques of acid-etching and sand-blasting to manipulate and craft light as it falls onto the glass, experimenting with translucence, colour combinations and organic forms. Each piece transforms its surroundings with multi-faceted, colourful highlights and mesmerising reflections.

We bought a beautiful blue fish, which now has pride of place in a sunny window at home. Over the years we have bought quite a few more for family and friends as they make the perfect present!”

Elin Isaksson

Elin Isaksson is a professional glassmaker based in Dunblane, Scotland. Elin Isaksson was born in the Philippines by was raised in Sweden, where she began to learn about glassmaking using traditional techniques. Learning through apprenticeships in Sweden, France and Italy, she had formal trainging at the Orrefors Glass School in the famous region of Kingdom of Glass (south of Sweden). Following this she moved to Scotland, where she is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art. She also gained an MA in Design and Applied Arts. Further training followed, including master classes with Dante Marioni and Simon Moore at North Lands Glass Centre in Lybster.

Now based in Dumblane, Elin has found her forever home and studio.

Elin’s work is beautifully simple and vibrant. She is inspired by the play of light, texture and movement in nature. Her work is all hand blown, tactile and decorative.
